Pantry

“. . . give them something to eat.” (Matthew 14:16)

MoSt Church is committed to extend God’s love to all. Surely one of the best known examples of this commitment is our service to the needy in our community, especially to those who are in need of food.

Each year – for the past number of years – MoSt has put food into the hands of between 10,000 and 12,000 individuals in the Baytown area. Those individuals make up three to four thousand families. And so, on average, MoSt assists fifty to eighty (50-80) families on any given week of the year. One out of every ten homes in Baytown are ministered to  directly through our food pantry every year.

We’re also privileged to be the chief point of distribution on the east side of the Houston ship channel of food gathered during Houston’s television Channel 13’s annual Share Your Holidays Food Drive. The week following that particular food drive, we typically serve somewhere between three and four hundred (300-400) families.

Our food pantry is open virtually every Tuesday and Thursday between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m. (major holidays being the only exception). To qualify for assistance a person need only bring:

  1. personal ID (i.e. – driver’s license, state ID card, etc.)
  2. proof of Baytown residence (i.e. – a utility bill, a note from the landlord, etc.)

The hungry find a heart for their need here at MoSt Church!
