One of MoSt Church’s very own, Donna Britt, is this year’s choice for the Mary Jon and J.P. Bryan Leadership in Education Award from the Texas State Historical Association. This award recognizes and honors the outstanding history teacher in Texas. Donna is apparently one of only a very high school teachers to win this award; it is normally awarded to college professors. And it get’s even sweeter – John and Donna Britt are the first husband and wife winners of the award, John having won it in 1999. Congratulations, Donna!

Sunday’s RL Bake Sale

Saturday, February 10, 2007 - Leave a Response

Here’s a bit of Q & A regarding tomorrow’s Valentine’s Bake Sale that will take place in our Annex immediately following our morning worship assembly (10:00 a.m.).

Q. What can I do Sunday to help MoSt Church’s Relay for Life team?

A. Two things: (1) bring a baked item to sell in the bake sale and (2) buy something at the bake sale. Quite literally, no donation is too small and every donation helps.

Q. What exactly will be done with the money collected from this bake sale?

A. The money raised will go directly toward MoSt’s Relay for Life team goal of $2,000. Those funds will be given directly to the American Cancer Society.

Q. Can I make a donation in memory of someone?

A. Absolutely! If you would like to do that, talk to Pat Thomas.

Q. When and where will the actual walk Relay for Life walk happen in Baytown?

A. April 27-28 (Friday night and Saturday morning) at Stallworth Stadium.

Q. Is it too late to sign up to be a part of MoSt’s Relay team?

A. No, it’s by no means too late! Registration information will be available at the bake sale for anyone to pick up.

Q. Who can I talk to for more information about the bake sale or joining MoSt’s Relay for Life team?

A. Betty Benskin or Ingrid Wallace, our Relay team’s co-captains.
